_______________
An overnight car chase and crash on Allegheny River Boulevard near the Penn Hills/City of Pittsburgh border has closed off a large chunk of the road—that's going to be a problem for several Plum, Oakmont and Verona residents during the morning commute.
WPXI is reporting that a car chase that began in Homewood overnight ended when the driver crashed into a utility pole on Allegheny River Boulevard.
According to the WPXI, the road will be closed until noon while crews work to repair a utility pole that was damaged during the crash.

I have never seen traffic so backed up in Oakmont before. It was not moving from the bridge all the way across Allegheny Avenue. I took a back way up Plum Street to Frankstown to go around it. Whew!

My mom takes ARB to work every day so I sent her directions to get to work the back way. She still got there on time, but what a mess! Glad you were able to get around the traffic!
