Annual Yard Waste Collection Begins Saturday in Plum

Fall is upon us, so residents cleaning up their yards can dispose of any waste.

Allied Waste, the garbage collector for Plum, will be collecting yard waste this fall.

The yard waste collection will allow residents to dispose of shrubbery, chipped shrubbery, tree trimmings, garden residue and other vegetative materials at no cost. No grass clippings or leaves will be collected with these special collections.

Collections in Plum will be held on Oct. 6, Oct. 27 and Nov. 17. Allied Waste will  go to houses to pick-up yard waste as long as residents schedule the pick-up with them.

To schedule a pick-up, call 877-788-9400 by noon the day before the scheduled collection day. Place all yard waste at the curb before 7 a.m. the morning of the collection. Trucks only will be dispatched to those homes that requested a yard waste pick-up and will not be canvassing the borough looking for yard waste.
