Assault, Trespassing Charges Against Former Highmark CEO Withdrawn

Former Highmark CEO Kenneth Melani, 58, appeared before Plum District Magistrate Linda Zucco Wednesday morning.

Charges of simple assault and defiant trespass filed against former Highmark CEO Kenneth Melani have been withdrawn.

Melani, 58, of Fox Chapel, appeared before Plum District Magistrate Linda Zucco on Wednesday. Oakmont police filed the charges in March after Melani allegedly engaged in a fight with Oakmont resident Mark Myler—the ex husband of his girlfriend,Melissa Myler.

Melani completed a court-ordered anger management class after the incident to get the charges withdrawn.

After the fight in Oakmont, Melani was fired from Highmark.

Highmark announced Tuesday that the company hired a new CEO, William Winkenwerder Jr.
