Several Plum, Oakmont and Verona churches will hold special services for the Christmas holiday. Here's a list:

PLUM

Crossroads Vineyard Church—A Christmas Eve Candle & Carol Experience will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. The Christmas day services will be held at 10 a.m.

Holiday Park Baptist Church—Worship on Dec. 25 begins at 10 a.m. and children's church begins at 10:45 a.m.

Holiday Park United Methodist Church—Christmas Day services will be held at 8:15 a.m., 9:30 a.m., 11:15 a.m. and 6 p.m.

Our Lady of Joy Church—Christmas Eve Vigil Masses will be held at 4, 7 and 10 p.m. Christmas Day Masses will be held at 8:30 and 10 a.m.

Pittsburgh East Community Church—identical services will be held on Dec. 23 and Dec. 24 at 7 p.m. Auditorium doors will open at 6:15 p.m. There will be no Christmas Day service.

Presbyterian Church of Plum Creek—Christmas Eve services will be held at 5 p.m. and 11 p.m. Communion will be offered at both. The Christmas Day service begins at 10 a.m.

St. Januarius Church—Mass will be held on Christmas day at 10 a.m.

St. John the Baptist Catholic Church—On Christmas Eve, children's liturgy will be held at 4 p.m., Mass will be held at 7 p.m. and the traditional midnight mass begins at 10 p.m. (carols begin at 9:30). On Christmas Day, there will be 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. services.

OAKMONT

Dormition of the Theotokos Greek Orthodox Church—On Dec. 23, there will be a service at 11 a.m. On Christmas Eve, a service will be held at 7 p.m. On Christmas Day, services will be at 9 a.m. and 10 a.m.

Oakmont Presbyterian Church—Christmas Eve services will be held at 7 and 10 p.m. A Christmas Day service will be held at 10 a.m. 

Oakmont United Methodist Church—Christmas Eve Service will be at 7:30 p.m. On Christmas day, a service will be held at 10 a.m. with refreshments at 11.

Redeemer Lutheran Church—There will be a Christmas Eve candlelight service at 7:30 p.m. Christmas day service begins at 10:45 a.m.

Riverside Community Church—Christmas Eve candlelight services will be held at 5 and 7 p.m. at the Oakmont location, and at 4 and 6 p.m. at the Pittsburgh Mills location.

St. Irenaeus Catholic Church—On Christmas Eve, a children's service will be held at 4 p.m. Traditional services will be at 7 and 10 p.m. On Christmas day, services will be held at 8 and 11 a.m.

St. Thomas Episcopal Church—On Christmas Eve, there will be a service with the Christmas pageant and carols at 4:30 p.m. Christmas music begins at 9:30 p.m. with a service following at 10 p.m. On Christmas Day, there will be a 10:30 a.m. service (no 8 a.m. service or Sunday School).

VERONA

St. Joseph Catholic Church, 825 Second Ave.—Christmas Eve services will be held at 5 and 10 p.m. Services on Christmas day will be at 8 and 10 a.m.

Trinity Lutheran Church, 701 Allegheny River Boulevard—Christmas Eve candlelight services will be held at 5 and 9 p.m. A Christmas day community service of lessons, carols and communion will be held at 11 a.m.

Verona Presbyterian Church, 566 South Ave.—Christmas Eve service will be held at 7 p.m. Children are welcome to attend. On Christmas day, the church will partner with Trinity Lutheran Church's community service.

Verona United Methodist Church, 798 Herron Ave.—A Christmas Eve service will be held at 5 p.m.
