Drive for Sandy Victims to be Held at Verona United Methodist Church

Donations of many items for the victims of Hurricane Sandy in New Jersey will be accepted at the Verona Church this weekend.

 

Plum, Oakmont and Verona residents will have the opportunity to help the victims of Hurricane Sandy in New Jersey.

This weekend, there will be a collection drive at the Verona United Methodist Church, 798 Herron Avenue in Verona Borough. The collection will take place Saturday 1 to 4 p.m., Sunday 1 to 3 p.m. and Monday 6 to 8 p.m. Items will be delivered the weekend of Nov. 17.

Here are the items that are needed: Cleaning supplies—sponges, gloves, mops, buckets and detergent—underwear and socks for men, women and children. Diabetic socks also will be collected.
