Gallery: Residents Break Out Their Ice Skates

The ice skating rink at Riverside Park in Oakmont is finally open!

Adults, teens, children and hockey players broke out their ice skates and enjoyed the new neighborhood rink this weekend.

The rink will be open as long as the weather holds up and an adult volunteer is available to watch over it. Here's a look at the schedule:

Thursday

  • 5 to 8 p.m—Hockey free play

Friday

  • 6 to 9 p.m.—Free skate

Saturdays

  • 9 to 11:45 a.m.—Free skate
  • Noon to 2:45 p.m.—Family skate
  • 3 to 5:45 p.m.—Free skate

Sundays

  • 9 to 11:45 a.m.—Hockey free play
  • Noon to 2:45 p.m.—Family skate
  • 3 to 5:45 p.m.—Ages 12 and older
