Get Out: Easter Bunny Breakfast, Family Fun Day & Bingo

Welcome to the Plum-Oakmont Patch's Weekend Planner!

Got no idea what you'll do this weekend? Patch is coming to the rescue! We've got the best bets for your done-work-outta-here time. Check out our top picks for this weekend to find something for everyone in the family to enjoy.

It's a good idea to have cash ready for these events.

1.  Hilltop Family Fun Day
Where/When: Verona Presbyterian Church, 8 a.m. on Saturday
Why Go?: A Flea Market and Hilltop Family Fun Day will be held at Verona Presbyterian Church on Saturday, March 24, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be games, face painting, bouncey houses, food and bake sale, a Chinese auction and a flea market.
Pricing: Free.

2. Breakfast with the Easter Bunny
Where?/When?: Plum Senior Community Center, 9 to 10 a.m. on Saturday
Why Go?: Children of all ages can enjoy breakfast with the Easter Bunny at the Plum Senior Center on Saturday, March 24. There is no cost to attend. The breakfast will be held before the spring craft show.
Pricing: Free.   

3. Spring Craft Show
Where?/When?: Plum Senior Community Center, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday
Why Go?: A craft and vendor fair at the Plum Community Senior Center will be held Saturday, March 24, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will be a wide variety of crafters and vendors! It's an excellent time to find spring, Easter and Mother’s Day gifts.

4. “An Argentinian Experience” by John Connolly
Where/When: Oakmont Carnegie Library, 2 p.m. on Saturday
Why Go?: John is a senior at Riverview High School and was awarded this trip through the World Affairs Council of Pittsburgh. Hear how his month-long Experiment in International Living in Argentina changed his view of the world. He learned simple things such as how to make Mate, eat delicious asado and interact with others from other cultures all around the world. Come see the beautiful landscape and experience the trip that opened his eyes to the power and opportunity that this world has to offer!

5. Bingo at Saint Januarius Church
Where?/When?: St. Januarius Church, 5 p.m. on Satruday
Why Go?: St. Januarius Parish will host a bingo event on Saturday, March 24. Doors open at 5 p.m. The cost is $25 for advance packages and $30 at the door. Packages include: 12 cards for 20 regular games, four specials and jackpot. Must be 18 years of age or older to play bingo. Additional cards will be for sale. The cost is $5 per strip of three cards. Early bird games begin at 6 p.m. The cost is $5 per set for four games. Regular games begin at 6:30. For more information, call 412-793-4439.
