I-376 and I-79 Guide Rail Repairs to Occur Saturday in Allegheny County

Here's a traffic update.

Intermittent, short-term single lane and shoulder closures will occur in several locations on I-376 (Parkway East) and I-79 on Saturday, Feb. 4, in Allegheny County, weather permitting.

The brief lane closures and restrictions are necessary as contractor crews conduct guide rail repairs. All exits and ramps will remain open. Work will occur from 7 a.m. to noon Saturday in the following areas:

Parkway East (I-376)

  • Both directions between the Bates Street/Oakland (Exit 73) and Churchill (Exit 79) interchanges

I-79

  • Both directions between the Bridgeville (Exit 54) and Parkway West/Pittsburgh (Exit 59) interchanges

The prime contractor for the repairs is Penn Line Services Inc. Motorists are advised to use caution and slow down when traveling through the area.
