Monroeville House Fire Extinguished, Cause Being Investigated

A Monday evening house fire on Noel Drive was quickly extinguished by Monroeville fire crews.

Dozens of Monroeville firefighters responded to Noel Drive Monday night to battle a house fire. Crews arriving at the scene reported seeing heavy smoke on the block.

The fire alarm at 325 Noel Drive was dispatched around 8:20 p.m. and the fire was extinguished by Monroeville fire companies within minutes. At about 9 p.m. two ladders were still leaning against the front of the home and firefighters were packing up their gear.

No serious injuries were reported and neighbors said a person living in the home escaped to a neighbors home.

The Allegheny County Fire Marshal's Office was called to the scene to investigate the cause of the fire.
