New Kensington Bridge Inspection Begins Thursday

Here's a traffic update.

 

Work to inspect the New Kensington Bridge, which carries Route 1038 (Ninth Street) over the Allegheny River in East Deer/New Kensington will begin weather permitting on Thursday, March 7.

Single lane alternating use traffic will occur on the bridge daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. through March 18. Crews from SAI Consulting Engineers, Inc. will be conduct the work.

Motorists are advised to use caution, slow down and expect changing traffic patterns and delays when traveling through the area.
