Oakmont Boy Donates Birthday Money to Children's Hospital
Ari-Harrison Crowell decided that he'd give back for his 9th birthday this year.
A Tenth Street Elementary student recently donated $200 to Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh—all birthday money.
Ari-Harrison Crowell turned 9 on Aug. 29, and he asked guests to bring donations to the hospital in lieu of birthday gifts to his birthday party at Riverside Park.
Oakmont Library children's librarian, Karen Crowell said she is very proud of her son, who has autism and chronic health problems.
"Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh has taken great care of Ari-Harrison over the years, and we are very thankful and appreciative," she said.
