Oakmont Police Reports: Assault, Burglary, Theft

Here are the Oakmont police reports for Jan. 2 to Jan. 14.

 

The following incidents were reported to the Oakmont Police Department. Information was obtained from call logs and police reports.

Assault

Michael Anthony Painter, 25, of Clairton was charged with simple assault and endangering the welfare of children after a Jan. 11 incident on Greer Way.

Burglary

A burglary was reported on the 800 block of Hulton Road on Jan. 9.

Theft

About $265 worth of cigarettes was reported stolen from Rite Aid on Allegheny River Boulevard on Jan. 14.

The theft of scrap from a pontoon boat parked at Hogan's Storage along Dark Hollow Road was reported on Jan. 4.

Criminal Mischief

A Sixth Street resident reported criminal mischief to a vehicle on Jan. 13.

Juvenile

A Valley Street resident reported that juveniles had opened boxes on the front porch on Jan. 9.

A Pennsylvania Avenue resident reported that juveniles were throwing snowballs at windows on Jan. 9.

Juveniles reportedly were throwing snowballs at cars near Riverview High School on Jan. 4.

Fire

A vehicle fire on the 800 block of Allegheny River Bouelvard on Jan. 13 was extinguished.
