Edward J. Abaray, of Oakmont, died on Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at the age of 84. 

Ed was the beloved husband for 61 years of Joan (Moritz) Abaray; dear father of Bonnie (Bill) Allison; grandfather of Brandon (Katelyn) Allison and Brian Allison; brother of Raymond (Clair) Abaray, Margaret Rukavina, Dorothy (Anthony) Duryea, and the late Michael, George, Paul, and John Abaray; cousin of Donna Cordingley.  Ed is also survived by longtime friends of 62 years, Richard and Marion Prestia. 

Ed was retired from Chester Engineers after 40 years of service as a surveyor/inspector. 

Friends and relatives will be received at the BURKET-TRUBY FUNERAL HOME CREMATION & ALTERNATIVE SERVICES, INC. 421 Allegheny Avenue, Oakmont on Thursday, August 23, 2012 from 7-9 pm and on Friday, August 24, 2012, from 2-4 & 7-9 pm.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, August 25, 2012, 9:30 am in St. Irenaeus Catholic Church
