Frank T. DiFatta
Frank T. DiFatta, of Oakmont died on January 2, 2013, at the age of 93.
Frank was the beloved husband for 71 years of Ann J. (Durket) DiFatta; dear father of David (Karen Bozik) DiFatta, Richard (Michael Strickland) DiFatta, and the late Carol DiFatta; grandfather of David (Mary Beth) DiFatta and Eric (Melissa) DiFatta; great-grandfather of Kaitlyn, Antonio, Giovanni, and Rocco DiFatta; brother of the late Jacob, Dominick, and Nicholas DiFatta, Angela Marino, Zula Macaluso, Margaret and Sarah DiFatta, and Mary Dapra.
Friends and relatives will be received at the BURKET-TRUBY FUNERAL HOME CREMATION & ALTERNATIVE SERVICES, INC., 421 Allegheny Avenue, Oakmont on Friday, January 4, 2013, from 2-4 & 6-8 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, January 5, 2013 at 12:30 pm in St. Irenaeus Catholic Church, Oakmont. EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH.

William T. “Bill” Hordubay
William T. “Bill” Hordubay, of Penn Hills died Wednesday, January 2, 2013, at the age of 87..
Bill was the beloved husband for 62 years of Irene M. Hordubay; loving father of Patricia (Bill) Lemme, Anne (Bill) Meyers, Thomas (Janet) Hordubay, Eileen (Dave) Devett, Bill (Kathy Neace) Hordubay, Joseph (Diane) Hordubay, and Laura (David) Sill; grandfather of 21, great-grandfather of nine, and also three step-great-grandchildren. He was the oldest brother of Jimmy, Joe, Ed, and Irene “Sis.”
Bill sang in the choir and resurrection choir at St. Joseph Catholic Church for over 40 years. He was an avid bowler, a proud World War II Navy Veteran, and belonged to the Young Old Timers of St. Joseph.
Friends and relatives will be received at the BURKET-TRUBY FUNERAL HOME CREMATION & ALTERNATIVE SERVICES, INC., 421 Allegheny Avenue, Oakmont on Saturday, January 5, 2012 from 6-9 pm and on Sunday, January 6, 2013 from 2-4 & 6-9 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, January 7, 2013 at 10 am in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Verona.

Karen Ruth (Sis) Burger
Karen Ruth (Sis) Burger, of Springdale, passed away peacefully Wednesday, January 2, 2013, at the age of 64.
Karen was born July 1, 1948 and graduated from Springdale High School in 1966. She attended Beauty School and was a stylist for J.C. Penney Salons for many years. She was also the steward for the Dutch Club in Springdale and a past employee of MEDRAD, Inc. in Indianola. She was a member of St. Alphonsus Church in Springdale and a member and officer of the Catholic Daughters of America.
“Sis” was preceded in death by her parents, Rachel (Dalcherone) and Frank E. Burger. Karen was their dedicated caregiver until their respective deaths in 1992 and 2001. She was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and especially loved Hines Ward. She is survived by her siblings Donna (Thomas O'Donnell), Patricia Yaworsky (Jim Young) and Frank (Karen Furyk) , her nieces, Erin, Rebecca and Kerry (Jon Shogan) O'Donnell and nephews Brian and Brett Burger. She is also survived by many cousins. Karen leaves behind her beloved pets, Blake, Brody and Annie. They were her "children".
Friends and relatives will be received at the BURKET-TRUBY FUNERAL HOME CREMATION & ALTERNATIVE SERVICES, INC., 421 Allegheny Avenue, Oakmont on Saturday, January 5, 2013 from 5-9 pm. A Blessing Service will be held at 7 pm during the visitation.
