Steven J. Gavin, of Oakmont died on Thursday, December 6, 2012, at the age of 26. 

Steve was the dear son of Christopher and Teresa Gavin; brother of Julie (Chris) Chapa; grandson of John and Sandy Gavin, and the late Thomas and Eleanor Besterman; nephew of Cindy (Ron) Martin, Cathy (Karl) Cima, Pat Gavin, Diane Gavin, Patty (Mark) Schwartz, Eleanor (Doug) Hutsenpiller, Thomas (Hania) Besterman, Donna (Joseph) Tammariello, Joanne Besterman, and Richard Besterman.  Steve is also survived by many loving cousins and friends. 

Friends and relatives will be received on Sunday, December 9, 2012 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm in the BURKET-TRUBY FUNERAL HOME CREMATION & ALTERNATIVE SERVICES, INC., 421 Allegheny Avenue, Oakmont.  Services and interment will be private for the family only.
