A PA House of Representatives scholarship is available to Plum, Oakmont and Verona students.
This scholarship is open to college-bound high school seniors who plan to attend a Pennsylvania college, university or career school on a full-time basis. To qualify, students must have a 3.0 grade-point average, display leadership and commitment to their community, and exhibit financial need. Applicants are also scored based on an essay regarding the need for a constitutional convention in Pennsylvania.
The scholarship is awarded to two students each year; the amount is the equivalent of one semester's tuition at a State System of Higher Education university – about $2,500. However, recipients may use the scholarship at any Pennsylvania public or private university or career school. The scholarship may be renewed for each of a student's four years of undergraduate study.
The deadline to apply is March 1. Click here for details and the application.
