Plum Community Festival Is On As Planned
Visit the Plum Community Festival at Larry Mills Park Friday and Saturday.
Plum Borough public works crews worked hard at Larry Mills Park early Friday to ensure the community's festival would go on as planned this weekend.
After storms swept through the area Thursday, the festival's first night was canceled.
According to the festival Facebook page, tents were repaired and all was good to go for the remainder of the weekend as of 11 a.m. Friday.
"We are hoping for a strong turnout tonight for dinner as the festival plans to be 100 percent operational," stated a Facebook status. "It might be a little 'squishy', but it's worth it to see the East Ends Kids and American Pie on the stage; the Ultimate Gaming trailer and the car cruise."
Festival times are from 6 to 10 p.m. Friday night, and 2 p.m. until after the fireworks display Saturday. For a schedule of events, click here.
