The Plum High School track will be resurfaced this month, and that means it won't be open.
The track and field will be closed beginning Monday, Aug. 6, and will remain closed for about two weeks.
In July, the district school board agreed to hire Track Surfaces Company to repair the track material for $181,900. Officials began discussing the matter last year.
The current track is more than 10 years old and is in need of some repairs, according to officials.
While the track is closed, school officials are encouraging residents to use the track at Oblock Junior High or run a loop around the high school complex.
