Plum Police Reports: Jewelry Store Burglary, Criminal Mischief, Assault

Here are the Plum police reports for the week of Jan. 8 to Jan. 14.

 

A Plum jewelry store was burglarized last week.

On Jan. 6, Plum police officers were dispatched to Joseph Anthony Jewelers on Saltsburg Road just before 10 p.m. for an alarm activation. According to the police report, forced entry was made through the business' only door, and theives smashed multiple glass display cases, taking about $2,000 worth of jewelry.

Police are continuing the investigation.

The following incidents also were reported to the Plum Police Department. Information was obtained from call logs and police reports.

Assault

Patrick James Robbins, 30, of Westminster, Md., was charged with simple assault, terroristic threats and harassment after a Jan. 1 incident on Ligonier Lane.

Burglary

About $100 worth of scrap copper was stolen from the garage of a Keystone Drive home on Jan. 7.

Criminal Mischief

A Sardis Road resident reported that someone had broken two glass garage door panes on Jan. 10.

If this place had a simple "door club" the crook(s) could have driven a car into the door and it wouldn't have opened.

If this Jewelery store had a simple door club on the front door the crooks could have driven a car into and it would still hold..
