Plum School Officials Search for HS Assistant Principal
Former assistant principal Justin Stephans was hired as Regency Park's principal, and now a replacement is needed.
As Regency Park Elementary School gets a new principal this upcoming school year, the high school will need a new assistant principal.
Former high school Assistant Principal Justin Stephans will be the new Regency Park principal. He will be paid $80,000 per year.
Last month, the combined position of Special Education/Regency Park Principal was eliminated and two positions—Director of Special Education and Pupil Services and Principal of Regency Park Elementary School—were created.
Kathleen Shirey, who the board hired last year for the combined position, now is the Director of Special Education and Pupil Services. Shirey was the third person acting as the Regency principal since last September, when Cheryl Levin retired. Margaret Evans also served as an interim in between Levin and Shirey.
Now that Stephans is leaving his position at the high school, the district is looking for someone to replace him.
