Proceeds from Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser to Benefit Plum HS Grad's Leukemia Battle

A spaghetti dinner will be held in February to raise money for Dina D'Ascenzo, a 1988 Plum High School graduate.

 

Dina D'Ascenzo, a 1988 Plum High School graduate, has been diagnosed with Acute Myloid Leukemia.

A spaghetti dinner will be held to raise money to help pay for D'Ascenzo's medical expenses. Now a Lower Burrell resident and single mother of four children,  D'Ascenzo is undergoing agressive chemotherapy and is a candidate for a bone marrow transplant.

Dina's Angels along with Spaghetti Warehouse are hosting the dinner on Feb. 11 from noon to 6 p.m. at Grace Community Church, which is on Grant Street in Lower Burrell. The cost is $8 for adults and $5 for children ages 10 and younger.

Dinner includes spaghetti, salad, a roll, a drink and dessert. There also will be a bake sale and Chinese Auction. Take out will be available.

Tickets are available at the door and in advance. For tickets in advance, call 724-339-1214.

Anyone who can't attend the dinner but still would like to contribute can do so by making a donation to "Friends of Dina" at First National Bank, 110 Burrell Plaza, Lower Burrell, PA 15068.
