RHS Student Named Luminari Award Scholar

Sophie Belch will receive $1,200 for admission to a Luminari camp.

Sophie Belch, a student at Riverview High School, has been named one of the 2013 Luminari Award Scholars.

She will receive an award of $1,200 for admission to Luminari's "I Want to Be an Ambassador!" camp. Luminari, a Pittsburgh-based nonprofit organization,  chose awardees based on merit.

Students who demonstrated motivation, open-mindedness and the willingness to pursue inspiration with "out of the box" activities. Each student also must excel both personally and academically at their respective school.

The "I Want to be an Ambassador!" camp will be held in Pittsburgh from June 18 to 26.

Congratulations, Sophie!
