Riverview Student Selected as U.S. Senate Youth Scholarship Finalist

John Connolly, a senior at the high school, will travel to Harrisburg this weekend for an interview.

 

Riverview High School senior John Connolly has been selected as a United States Senate Youth Scholarship state finalist.

Connolly is one of the state’s top 10 student leaders chosen from a pool of applications.

He will interview on Saturday, Nov. 19, at the State Capitol Building in Harrisburg. This interview will be conducted with regard to his leadership essay, personal interests and activities and his future plans.

Over the summer, Connolly traveled to Argentina through the World Affairs Council of Pittsburgh’s scholarship program on Experiments in International Living.

Jay Moser, Principal of Riverview Junior-Senior High School, would like to commend John and his parents, Pat and Fran Connolly, for their commitment to education.
