The weather forecast for Halloween sure is terrifying, so our local communities have rescheduled its trick-or-treating time.

Plum, Oakmont, Verona boroughs' trick-or-treat times have been moved to Saturday, Nov. 3, from 6 to 8 p.m.

For those of you on the Verona Hilltop, Penn Hills also has postponed trick-or-treating to Saturday.

Police Chief David DiSanti said the move was made in an effort to keep residents and children safe from potential effects of the "Frankenstorm."

"We're hoping Saturday is a great day for your families," he said.
