Four Injured, Two Flown to Hospital After Vehicle Accident in Plum
Plum police are investigating a four-vehicle accident on Greensburg Road.
About four people have been injured after a four-vehicle accident in Plum on Wednesday afternoon.
Plum police and emergency crews were dispatched to the accident on Greensburg Road at about 3:30.
According to Plum police Sgt. Jay Kapusta, four vehicles and eight people were involved in the accident.
Kapusta said a vehicle traveling southeast on Greensburg Road hit another vehicle, lost control and struck a second vehicle, then rolled over and hit a third vehicle.
About three of four people sustained injuries—two with serious injuries were flown to area hospitals by helicopter, according to Kapusta.
The ages of the people involved in the accident range from 20s to 60s. They are from Kitanning, New Kensington, Texas and Czechoslovakia.
Kapusta said police continue to investigate the cause of the crash.
