What Time is Tuesday's Presidential Debate?

Here are details on the next debate between President Barack Obama and former Gov. Mitt Romney.

 

The next presidential debate between President Barack Obama and former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney is set for 9 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 16. The second of three debates between the Democratic and GOP presidential candidates will take place at Hofstra University in Hempstead, NY, and will run until 10:30 p.m.

October 16, 2012

Presidential

Topic: Town meeting format including foreign and domestic policy
Air Time: 9-10:30 p.m.
Location: Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York (Tickets)
Sponsor: Commission on Presidential Debates
Moderator: Candy Crowley, CNN chief political correspondent

According to the CPD, "The second presidential debate will take the form of a town meeting, in which citizens will ask questions of the candidates on foreign and domestic issues. Candidates each will have two minutes to respond, and an additional minute for the moderator to facilitate a discussion. The town meeting participants will be undecided voters selected by the Gallup Organization."

October 22, 2012

Topic: Foreign policy
Air Time: 9-10:30 p.m.
Location: Lynn University in Boca Raton, FL (Tickets)
Sponsor: Commission on Presidential Debates
Participants: President Barack Obama and former Gov. Mitt Romney
Moderator: Bob Schieffer, chief Washington correspondent and host of Face the Nation on CBS

According to the CPD, "The format for the debate will be identical to the first presidential debate and will focus on foreign policy."

Wow, if Romney could win, we'd have some really LONG speeches to deal with, that guy blathers on and on longer than Bill Clinton at the DemConvention! Too bad he doesn't say anything near as much as Clinton does.
Romney's behavior toward the President, the moderator, and the people waiting to ask questions was at best borderline rudeness.

Yes - a shame he didn't mirror the class, professionalism and dignity Joe Biden showed at his debate.
