Have You Seen it Yet? Pittsburgh: The Movie

A Mt Lebanon man compiled clips from 29 films shot in Pittsburgh turned them into a music video.

From "Silence of the Lambs" to "Dark Knight Rises" to "Jack Reacher," Pittsburgh has been the backdrop to more than two dozen Hollywood films. Mt. Lebanon native Aron Zelkonwicz, who grew up watching many of those films, decided to take it one step further by gathering iconic Pittsburgh scenes from 29 films shot in Pittsburgh and compiling them into a music video. “I thought it would be fun,” he told KDKA'S John Shumway. “I had seen all these movies filmed in Pittsburgh and thought why not take the parts everyone wants to see, the shots of Pittsburgh, and put those together.” His labor of love took weeks, in between rehearsals and performances with the Pittsburgh Symphony where he plays the cello. Plum, Riverview Musicals Nominated for Gene Kelly Awards

Plum High School's "Seussical" and a Riverview High School Actress have been nominated for Gene Kelly Awards. The Gene Kelly Awards for Excellence in High School Musical Theater recognize and encourage musical theater and arts education, according to the CLO website. The organization gives out the annual awards in conjunction with the University of Pittsburgh. Modeled after Broadway’s Tony Awards and held at the Benedum Center in downtown Pittsburgh, the award ceremony features live performances from the best actor and best actress nominees, as well as those up for best musical. Local Indie Film 'Scream Park' Showing this Weekend at The Oaks

The 85-minute, unrated film embraces the 1980s style of slasher cinema.

An original American indie horror film with cast members from the Pittsburgh area will screen this weekend at the Oaks Theater. Scream Park is the story of an old amusement park closing for the last time, and the diabolical, vicious plot the failed owner devises as a publicity stunt to keep selling tickets. Young amusement park employees are busy planning an end-of-season party for the closing attraction and soon find themselves trapped inside with two masked killers. The 85-minute, unrated film marks the feature film directorial debut for Cary Hill and embraces the 1980s style of horror-slasher cinema. Plum High School's 'Seussical' Brings Dr. Seuss Tales to Life

Catch the high school musical Thursday, Friday or Saturday!

Things are getting a little chaotic on the Plum High School stage this weekend! Students will be performing "Seussical" the musical beginning tonight, April 11, through Saturday. Shows will be at 7 p.m. at the high school auditorium. The show revolves around some of Dr. Seuss' characters and is a show the entire family can enjoy. The plot mirrors "Horton Hears a Who!" which centers around Horton the Elephant and his attempts protect Who-Ville, a planet the size of a speck of dust. Thrown into the mix are characters from The Cat in the Hat, The Lorax, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, Green Eggs and Ham, If I Ran the Circus and many more of Seuss' books.
