Perfect weather, Perfect day, Perfect parade, and Perfect beginning to the Oakmont-Verona Holiday season.

Check out the pictures and see if you can find yourself among those who were getting face painted, chalking up the bouldevard, riding the horse drawn carriage, noshing (there was one gentleman trying to give away his Farkelberry cookies), and of course, talking and greeting neighbors.

I must admit, however, trying to get decent pictures at night is kind of tough, but I'm hoping the pictures will bring back memories of a fun evening.  The floats were great, not as much candy being thrown (but the kids still got enough and where were the apples?), the police and sheriff cars, and fire trucks and more fire trucks...and residents thanking them along the way.  You-know-who was perched on the last fire truck and got off in Verona to greet his young friends.  (Please feel free to upload your holiday parade pictures.)

And as the parade came to an end, the shout from the merchants was, "Remember to do your shopping in Verona and Oakmont....there's lots of ideas to be had."
