The 5K Fun Run is not the only action in town by the gazebo on Saturday. The annual Bike Derby will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, June 2.

Your bike (young or old) will be inspected by the experts from Dirty Harry's Bike Store, your bike will be registered and safety helmets will be distributed to those needing them. Plus, there will be food, prizes, a raffle of a boys and girls bike, and a safety obstacle course to test your skills.

Officer Jerry, of Verona Police Department, has also arranged for the stat medivac helicopter to land near the gazebo, and the 911 van and the incident command vehicle from the county will make an appearance. Verona Fire Department will present the Monster Truck.

There will be much fun and many things to do and try. Of course, refreshments will be available.
