See which station in the area has the lowest gas prices.
The summer driving season is just around the corner, a time when Plum-Oakmont drivers brace for more pain at the pump. But maybe not this year. Retail gas prices have dropped steadily since the end of February because more refineries have come back on line after routine maintenance, and crude oil prices have moved sharply lower, reports the AAA . Analysts predict prices could fall another 20 cents a gallon during the next two months because of lower-than-expected demand in the world's two largest economies, the United States and China. This year's event is going to help pay for several features around the library.
"A Taste of Two Towns" is returning to the Oakmont Carnegie Library later this month. On May 19, from 6 to 8:30 p.m., the library will be transformed into a buzzing bistro, featuring sample dishes from the top restaurants of Oakmont and Verona. The cost to attend is $50 per person. Last year's inaugural event raised $10,000 for the library—40 percent of the $25,000 raised in 2012. Proceeds were used to repair plaster on the 1901 side of the library, update the phone system and Wi-Fi, deepen the library's travel and career collections, and expand the Youth Services position. This year, the library board has set a $35,000 fundraising goal in the hopes of beginning work for a digital media program, adding security cameras, and meeing higher …

Pennsylvania Treasury's Bureau of Unclaimed Property lists the three municipalities with money due them—and there might be some out there for you, too.
Each year, the Pennsylvania Treasury receives millions of dollars in unclaimed property, including abandoned bank accounts, forgotten stocks, uncashed checks, certificates of deposit, life insurance policies, safe deposit box contents and recovered stolen property.
