Please join The Gallery 4 in Shadyside as we proudly present a series of original paintings from by Anthony Purcell - "The Sepia Show". The series features portraits of historical figures from the Victorian era (Carnegie, Ford and Sarah Bernhardt are among the subjects) portrayed admidst ornate victorian backdrops and embellished with surrealistic elements. All paintings are rendered in rich, warm sepia tones - as photographs and mementos which have aged.

Please join us for the opening of this series at the Gallery 4 in Shadyside at 7:00pm - 10:00pm. Free refreshments and hors d'oeuvres.

Anthony Purcell is an accomplished local artist whose paintings have shown in Pittsburgh and Los Angeles.  He also works in the Pittsburgh region as a muralist.
