Health and Wellness Day, Tuesday, Aug. 13, at Riverview Community Action Corp. in Oakmont—This event begins at 9:30 a.m. Enjoy a blood pressure check, posture evaluation, hearing services, body fat percetage, Alzheimer's info, vision screening and more. There is no cost to attend. Save your space by calling 412-828-1062. The event is sponsored by HealthyWorks of PA.
2. Celebrate Snoopy's Birthday, Mae's Hallmark in Oakmont, through Aug. 18—The store is having a sale for buy one get one 50 percent off Hallmark Peanuts gifts. Sale excludes keepsake ornaments.
3. Pet Parade, Friday, Aug. 16, at the Plum Senior Community Center—The third-annual pet parade will be held at 12:30 p.m. Registration begins at noon. The event is free to attend, and the cost is $5 to enter a pet.
4. Pie Night, Friday, Aug. 16, at Riverside Park—Marching band students will be previewing this year's show at 7:30 p.m. Save room for some pie!
