Labor Day 2013: What's Closed in the Plum and Oakmont Area
Here's some useful information on what you cannot do on the upcoming holiday
Plum and Riverview school districts will be closed Monday Sept 2, as well as the Oakmont Carnegie Library and the Plum Community Library.
The Oakmont Library also will be closed Sunday, Sept. 1.
State offices, state liquor stores, and Pennsylvania drivers' license and photo centers will be closed.
Allegheny county offices and courts will be closed, along with federal offices and courthouses.
The Port Authority of Allegheny County will operate all bus, light-rail and incline service on a holiday schedule. In addition, about 30 bus routes will detour in Downtown Pittsburgh because of the annual Labor Day Parade. Detours will be in effect from approximately 9:30 am to 1 pm.
