It's Not Too Late for a Dry January!

It may already be the second week of January, but that doesn’t mean you can’t join in on the latest Dry January Challenge. If you haven’t heard of this challenge yet, plenty of people are nearly done with it. The people who join in on this challenge commit themselves to 31 days without drinking alcohol because they felt that they drank a lot over the holidays. And with all the alcohol they consumed, it certainly can’t be bad for their liver.

If you feel the same way and would like to do a cleanse, there’s still time for you to join in on the Dry January challenge. Here are some tips on how you can get through the rest of the month without alcohol:

Have you ever wanted to learn how to cook or speak another language? Now is the best time to start! Drinking was only something that hindered you from doing these things because you spent a lot of days dealing with hangovers. Because of this, you were unable to start learning something new.

Befriend Non-Drinkers

One of the best ways you can stop drinking is to befriend people who are not part of your circle of friends. Particularly if they do not like to drink a lot, you can learn more about them and not just rely on having a good time with alcohol. You will find that their company can be enjoyable, even without the presence of alcohol.

Opt for Other Liquids

When you feel like drinking alcohol, reach for a glass of water or another liquid substance that you can drink. Unless you didn’t know, there are plenty of other drinks that don’t have any alcohol in them. Maybe it’s time to re-discover these?

Tell Yourself that It’s Good for You

A month without drinking alcoholic beverages can work wonders for your body! In fact, studies have shown that those who don’t drink get a decrease in their liver fat, and blood glucose levels. Most of all, it gives them a better quality of sleep! You won’t realize this if you keep on drinking.

Giving up alcohol, even if it’s just for half a month, can really be difficult; especially if you’re someone who has gotten used to the lifestyle. But if you’re really determined and convinced, you might even give it up for a while longer. You’ll see better results than a Dry January!

When the month is over and you have succeeded in the challenge, see to it that you reward yourself with a spa service! Achieving something difficult is a good excuse to have a treatment and pamper yourself. Call us today for more information!
