Terrie A. DeShong, of Plum Boro passed away at the age of 54 on Saturday, July 6, 2013 in her residence with her family by her side.
Terrie was the dear daughter of the late John “Jack” O’Malley and Ann O’Malley; beloved wife for 22 years of James A. DeShong, Jr.; loving mother of Alexis L. and Hunter E. DeShong; sister of Jack (Terry) O’Malley, Sandy (Bob) Houston, and Patty (Gary) Ciorra; daughter-in-law of James and Nancy DeShong; sister-in-law of Jeff (Denise) DeShong, Jill (Bob) Gustrowsky, Jackie (Mike) Friedman, Jeannine (John) Hauck, Justin (Yolie) DeShong, and Jayson (Donna) DeShong.
A private viewing and blessing service was held for the family at BURKET-TRUBY FUNERAL HOME CREMATION & ALTERNATIVE SERVICES, INC., Oakmont.

Patricia A. Ruppel, of Oakmont, passed away at the age of 81 on Monday, July 8, 2013 with her family by her side.
Patricia was the beloved wife of the late Charles “Bill” Ruppel; loving mother of Laura (Harold) Adams, Linda (Bill Trozzi) Wood, and Lisa L. (John) Kling; grandmother of Joshua (Tammie) Evans; dear sister of Ronald (Lori) Layhew, Patrick (Anna Marie) Layhew, Jeannine (Glenn) Warren and the late Ella Lessick, Regis and Edward Layhew.
Pat was a longtime member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Oakmont.
Friends and relatives will be received at the BURKET-TRUBY FUNERAL HOME CREMATION & ALTERNATIVE SERVICES, INC., 421 Allegheny Avenue, Oakmont on Wednesday, July 10, 2013 from 7-9 pm and on Thursday, July 11, 2013 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 12, 2013 at 10 am in Redeemer Lutheran Church in Oakmont. Samuel F. Farren, of Oakmont, passed away on Wednesday, July 10, 2013, at the age of 73.
Sam is the son of the late Samuel and Antoinette Farren; beloved husband for 53 years of Nancy (McAteer) Farren; loving father of Donna (James) Murray, Diane (Neal) Flowers, and Sean (Lisa) Farren; grandfather of Patrick, Daniel, Katherine, Margot, Sam, Will, and Park; brother of Barbara Ann Palmer.
Friends and relatives will be received on Thursday, July 11, 2013 at the BURKET-TRUBY FUNERAL HOME CREMATION & ALTERNATIVE SERVICES, INC., 421 Allegheny Avenue, Oakmont from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday at 11:30 am in St. Irenaeus Catholic Church, Oakmont. EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT THE CHURCH.
