Albert J. Strauss, of Oakmont, died Tuesday, November 5, 2013, at the age of 84.
Albert was a son of the late Joseph J. and Margaret W. Weis Strauss; brother of Dolores (late James) Kelly, of Penn Hills, Louis (Jean) Strauss, of Lake Isabella, Calif., Agnes (Raymond) Weir, of Ford City, Joseph F. (Mary Ann) Strauss, of Penn Hills, Mary (late LeRoy) Buchleitner, of West Mifflin, and the late Richard J. Strauss; and brother-in-law of Jody Strauss. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Albert loved gardening. He served in the Navy during peacetime and served in the Maritime Service. He was a school bus driver for First Student for many years.

Friends and family will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday at BURKET-TRUBY FUNERAL HOME CREMATION & ALTERNATIVE SERVICES INC., 421 Allegheny Avenue, Oakmont. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Saturday in St. Irenaeus Catholic Church, Oakmont.
