Obituary - Anthony P. Coutsoumbis

Anthony P. Coutsoumbis, of Pittsburgh, lost his battle with esophageal cancer on Thursday, July 24, 2014, at the age of 87. 

Anthony was the beloved uncle of Peter Coutsoumbis of Penn Hills and George (Mary) Coutsoumbis of Monroeville; brother-in-law of Frosso Coutsoumbis of Penn Hills; great-uncle of Anna and Alex Coutsoumbis.  He was preceded in death by his parents Peter and Vasiliki (Paterakis) Coutsoumbis and brother Costa Coustsoumbis. 

Mr. Coutsoumbis managed the J.P. Harris Theaters in Pittsburgh for 20 years and held many managerial positions in the theater industry spanning across the United States mainly in Hollywood, CA.  He was a member of the Dormition of the Theotokos Greek Orthodox Church, the American Hellenic Educational Progressive Association (AHEPA).  He was a WWII Navy veteran, Fireman 1/c V6 and assigned to the USS Bremerton and a member of the American Legion Post 595 in Pittsburgh.

Friends will be received Saturday, July 26, 2014 at 10am, in the Dormition of the Theotokos Greek Orthodox Church, Oakmont where a funeral service will take place following visitation at 11am.  Interment will be private.
