Colina "Lee," "Lettie" Sheldon, formerly of Harmarville, passed away Saturday, July 19, 2014, aat the age of 88, in the Willows Presbyterian Seniorcare, Oakmont, where she resided for the past four years.
Colina was born January 7, 1926, in New Stevenson, Scotland, and was very proud of her heritage. She moved to Harmarville when she was three-months-old and lived there for 85 years. She was employed by the Blawnox Company Mill and Springdale High School cafeteria. Early in her life, she worked for Dr. and Mrs. Francis Hurite for many years.
Colina enjoyed crafting, cooking, baking, candy making and socializing. She had a fun and lively personality that affected everyone with whom she came in contact. Her greatest loves were her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and extended family with whom she celebrated holidays, birthdays and other special occasions.

She was the beloved wife of the late Richard "Dick" Sheldon; mother of Richard (Carol) Sheldon, Sharon (Ron) McGinnis, all of Florida, and Jeffrey (Jane) Sheldon, of Plum; sister of the late Jessie Hassler, Christina "Kitten" Delaney, William "Woody" McLaren, John McLaren, Robert McLaren and Isabele Conklin; grandmother of Tracey and Richard Sheldon, Erin and Meghan McGinnis and Juliann and Drew Sheldon; and great-grandmother of Lexi, Ethan and Jack.
Friends and relatives will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in the BURKET-TRUBY FUNERAL HOME CREMATION and ALTERNATIVE SERVICES INC., 421 Allegheny Avenue, Oakmont. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, in First United Methodist Church, 130 Ridge Ave., New Kensington, PA 15068, with the Rev. Drew Bell officiating. Private interment will be in Deer Creek Cemetery, Harmar Township.
