On Sunday, October 6, 2013, at the age of 85, James S. Eilerage passed away peacefully, with his children at his side in Southwest Veterans Center.
James was the beloved son of the late Frank N. and Esther M. (Murray) Eiler. "Red" (as he was known by his friends and family) was born June 29, 1928 in Wilkinsburg and lived most of his life in Verona and Oakmont. Father of Karen L. (David) Bogan and James A. (Poppy) Eiler, Jr.; grandfather of Ann E. (Rush) Hodgin, Mara A. (Joseph) Loub and Jaime L. (Michael) Bockoven; great-grandfather of Rush (R.J.), David, Nathaniel, Nicholas, Michael, Aidan and Daniel; brother of Winona (George) Fleming and the late Robert (late Helen) Pfeil and the late Constance E. Roberts.
Friends will be received Wednesday, October 9, 2013 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm in the English Funeral Home & Cremation Services, INC. 378 Maryland Avenue, Oakmont, PA, 15139, where a funeral service will be held 10 am Thursday, October 10, 2013 officiated by pastor Bruce Stollings of the Verona Methodist Church. Interment to follow at Riverview Memorial Park.
