Obituary - Louise Bursic

Louise Bursic, 91 of Verona passed peacefully, at the age of 91, with her family at her side on Friday, December 27, 2013. 

Louise was the dear wife of the late Frank Stanley Bursic; loving mother of Denise (Raymond) Cefola of Plum, Alison Bursic of Verona, Frank (Karen) Bursic of Murrysville, and Mary Kay (Chris) Nail of O’Hara Twp.; beloved grandmother of Rachel (Joel) Bobetich, Lauren (Raymond) Luther, Juliana, Samantha, and Hannah Bursic; sister of the late Michael (the late Lillian) Grasha. 

Louise was happily awaiting the birth of her first great-grandson Andrew Isaac Bobetich, who will be born any day now.  She was a longtime member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, where she was one of the founding members of St. Joseph Ladies of Charity.  Louise also wrote an autobiography of her life, “My Song of Thanksgiving,” which is archived in Ellis Island.

Friends and relatives will be received at the BURKET-TRUBY FUNERAL HOME CREMATION & ALTERNATIVE SERVICES, INC., 421 Allegheny Avenue, Oakmont on Sunday, December 29, 2013 from 2-4 & 6-9 p.m. and on Monday, December 30, 2013 from 2-4 & 6-9 p.m.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, December 31, 2013, 10 a.m. St. Joseph Catholic Church, Verona. 

In Lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to St. Joseph Catholic Church, 825 Second Street, Verona, 15147.
