$1 Million Powerball Ticket Sold in Butler County

One of the three $1 million winning Powerball tickets in Pennsylvania was sold in Butler County.

One of the three $1 million winning Powerball tickets in Pennsylvania was sold in Butler County, the Pennsylvania Lottery confirmed Thursday afternoon.

The winning ticket, which matched the first five numbers but missed the Powerball number, was sold at the Planet Mart convenience store near Saxonsburg, according to the lottery.

The other two $1 million winning Powerball tickets in Pennsylvania were sold in Altoona and Montgomery County. Lottery officials said they would not know the identities of the winners until they come forward and claim their prize by calling them at 717-702-8146. They each have one year to claim their winnings.

Two grand prize Powerball winners, which will split Wednesday night’s record $587.5 million jackpot, were sold in Arizona and Missouri, according to the Powerball’s website.

The winning numbers for Wednesday night’s drawing were 05-16-22-23-29 with the red Powerball 06.
