Donations Needed for Riverside Park Ice Rink Project

The Oakmont Recreation Board is spearheading the effort to install an ice rink at Riverside Park this winter.

Members of the Oakmont Recreation Board want the community to enjoy this winter.

There has been a lot of construction at the park to upgrade the equipment and facility for the community. The rec board wants to install a seasonal ice rink to put the park to use.

According to a letter sent out by the board, donations from the community are needed to make this happen. The rink is expected to cost about $10,500, but for the rink to be ordered and installed this year, the board is hoping to have about $5,000 by Oct. 3.
