Testa plans to distribute resqme keychains, as well as information about the tool. Resqme is a portable safety device that goes on your key chain. The tool has many components—window breaker, seatbelt cutter, etc.—that allows people to escape from being trapped in vehicles.

Testa plans to demonstrate how the tool works.

"If you're ever in an emergency, you can get out of your car very easily," Testa said.

The Eagle Scout candidate said he wants his project to be in memory of Kim Griffith and her family.

"This will help me memorialize her and to get through this," he said.

Several Verona officials donated money toward Testa's project to help him purchase keychains to distribute—they are $8 each.
