St. Francis' Day Blessing of the Animals Service

People and their pets are invited to gather in the church for a short service, which includes the individual blessing of each animal and its owner.  The service has a few short hymns, one reading, a couple prayers, a short homily and the blessing.  It is a lot of fun as the pets join in the hymns to make their own joyful noise unto the Lord.  By long tradition, the offering given at this service goes to the local Animal Rescue League.  Come and bring a friend (and an animal)!
