A dollar goes a long way in a tasty fundraiser that will be held once again this holiday season by The Wendy’s Company.
For just $1, individuals can enjoy free Jr. Frostys from Wendy’s for an entire year while also helping community members affected by disasters
and unexpected emergencies.
Now through Dec. 31 of this year, customers can buy Jr. Frosty key tags at participating area Wendy’s restaurants throughout Southwestern Pennsylvania for just $1—the Wendy's on Route 286 in Plum Borough is included. Then, by showing that key tag on subsequent visits to Wendy’s, customers will receive a free Jr. Frosty through Dec. 31, 2013.
Wendy’s will donate 80 cents of every $1 key tag sold to the local American Red Cross and the Salvation Army Western Pennsylvania Division. The donations will be split equally between the two organizations.
Last year, about $60,000 was raised for the two entities.
