It's Memorial Day sale galore, and free admission to participating Pittsburgh museums for active duty military personnel and their families begins!

2. Customer Appreciation Days at Beall’s Nursery and Greenhouse (9334 Saltsburg Rd, Plum)

5.  Free entrance to active duty military personnel and their families to several Pittsburgh museums from Blue Star Museums

When: May 30 – Sept. 5.

Details: Free admission to active duty military personnel and their families from Memorial Day through Labor Day to the following Pittsburgh museums:

  • The Andy Warhol Museum
  • Carnegie Museum of Art
  • Carnegie Museum of Natural History
  • Children's Museum of Pittsburgh
  • Frick Art and Historical Center

From the National Endowment for the Arts website: The Blue Star Museums initiative is a partnership among Blue Star Families, the National Endowment for the Arts, and more than 1,000 museums across America. First launched in the summer of 2010, Blue Star Museums once again are offering free admission to active duty military personnel and their families from May 30 to Sept. 5.
