Here are ten events to check out this weekend.

Got no idea what you'll do this weekend? Patch is coming to the rescue! We've got the best bets for your done-work-outta-here time. Check out our top picks for this weekend to find something for everyone in the family to enjoy.

It's a good idea to have cash ready for these events.

Where/When: Boyd Community Center, 5 to 7:30 p.m. on Friday
Why Go: All are welcome to the opening reception of the Holiday Arts Market. Holiday Arts Market showcases handmade items of distinction by Pittsburgh area artists: jewelry, fine art, beading, knitting, toys, fiber, pottery and more. The marker will also feature an exhibition of egg miniatures by Dolly Ellerbrock, curated by Katherine Talcott.

Where/When: in Oakmont, Sunday, 9 a.m. to noon
Why Go? Santa Claus will visit with children at Panera Bread this weekend. Stop by the Oakmont location to have hot chocolate and cookies with him.

Where/When: , 7:30 p.m. on Friday
Why Go?: The B.E. Taylor Christmas Concert sells out Heinz Hall every Christmas where B.E. Taylor and his band fill the night with harmony, music and love.  This year you can attend the identical concert in the intimate 1500 seat auditorium at Pittsburgh East Community Church!

Where?/When?: , 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday
Why Go?: Do some holiday shopping and help supprt a great cause! Shop 18 vendors and artisans including Tastefully Simple, Pampered Chef, Scentsy Flameless Candles, Embroidery from the Heart, BeautiControl, Send Out Cards, Traci Lynn Jewelry, Simply Pearls, Mary Kay, Gifts from the Rainforest, Vintage fabric crafts, Novelty candies and melt-away fudge, massages, Sarris Candy and more! Food will be available for purchase as well as a bake sale, Chinese auction, raffles and information about the 2012 Riverview Relay for Life.  Proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society.

Where?/When?: Lowes, 10 a.m. on Saturday
Why Go?: It's the second part of the 2011 Lowe's Train! Bring your kids to Lowe's and they can build this awesome Coal Car!

Where?/When?: , 11 a.m. on Saturday
Why Go?: Children ages 2 to 8 are invited to join the library for a trip through Candy Land. Visit Princess Lolly, Lord Licorice and Grandma Nutt while travel through Candy Land to sing songs, hear stories and do a craft. Groups of children will be guided through Candy Land in 15 minute intervals. At the end of their journey they will have reached Candy Land. Register online!

Why Go?: Cine Brunch is a light brunch from Oakmont Bakery starting at 10 a.m. and a movie that begins at 11 a.m. This month's movie is White Christmas.

Why Go?: There will be a Living Nativity at Presbyterian Church of Plum Creek as part of . The suggested donation is $2 per person for ages 10 and older. The maximum charge is $10.

Why Go?: "Raiders Among Us," the 2011-12 Riverview Raider football season highlights/past alumni documentary is coming to the Oaks Theater. Donations will be accepted for the Riverview Raiders football team..

Why Go?: Sunday school and preschool students will perform a children's sing-a-long at Holiday Park United Methodist Church and Preschool. This performance is part of .
