From Light Up Nights to pancake breakfasts, there is plenty to do this weekend!

Welcome to the Plum-Oakmont Patch's Weekend Planner!

Got no idea what you'll do this weekend? Patch is coming to the rescue. We've got the best bets for your done-work-outta-here time. Check out our top picks for this weekend to find something for everyone in the family to enjoy.

It's a good idea to have cash ready for these events.

1.
Where/When: Syria Shriners Ballroom, 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday
Why Go: The fundraiser will be held in the Syria Shriners Ballroom. Dinner includes fried chicken, ham, scalloped potatoes, rigatoni, green beans, soup, coleslaw, cookies and beverages. All proceeds go to the Koteki Fund. The event is open to the public, so bring your friends and neighbors!
Pricing: $10

Where/When: Downtown Pittsburgh, 5 to 10 p.m. on Friday and noon to 10 p.m. on Saturday
Why Go?: The 51st Duquesne Light Light Up Night will kick off this Friday in Point State Park with a Santa Spectacular! The evening will be capped off by lighting of the Legendary 80-foot Duquesne Light Tree, followed by the Macy’s Fireworks to Music Finale. Stroll through the city side of Point State Park after 5 p.m. and enjoy treats and activities for kids of all ages. Saturday night will begin with concerts in Market Square beginning at noon. Other activities include a skating performance at the Rink at PPG, pictures with Sugar Plum Fairies at 5th Ave. and a horse drawn candlelight carriage parade. Where?/When?: Monroeville Convention Center, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday through Sunday
Why Go?: One of Pittsburgh's biggest and best Christmas arts and crafts shows is coming to Monroeville. Shop more than 250 exhibits at the beautiful Monroeville Convention Center including holiday and seasonal floral designs, jewelry, clothing, ornaments, furniture, photography, soft sculpture, candles, decorative painting and much more. Sample delicious pre-packaged foods including homebaked goods, candies, chocolates, gourmet dips and drink mixes.
Pricing: $6/Adults, $5.50/Senior Citizens, $1/Children ages 6 to 12, Children younger than 6 enter for free.

Where?/When?: Rosedale United Methodist Church, 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday
Why Go?: The Verona-Rosedale Kiwanis Club will be hosting a pancake breakfast at the Rosedale United Methodist Church. The breakfast includes pancakes, scrambles eggs, sausage, juice and coffee. .
Pricing: $6

Where?/When?: Lowes, 10 a.m. on Saturday
Why go?: Christmas is right around the corner, and this kit is the perfect way to get your kids in the Christmas spirit!
Pricing: Free.

Where?/When?: Rainbow VFC Station, 2 to 5 p.m. on Saturday
Why Go?: As part of the White Oak Boro Season of Lights Celebration, the Rainbow VFC Station will host a Pancake and Sausage Brunch.
Pricing: $2; Free for kids younger than 16.

Where/When: All over Oakmont Borough, beginning at 5 p.m. on Saturday
Why Go?: Oakmont's Hometown Christmas includes a parade, pictures with Santa, marching bands, lighted floats, horse and buggy rides, food vendors, live music and more. . Stop in at the for holiday festivities. The festivities will feature the Riverview Jr./Sr. High School Orchestra from 6 to 7:30 p.m. There will be crafts for kids and refreshments. The Squirrel's Nest bookstore will be open, and the library also will be auctioning off gift baskets.

8.
Where/When: Allegheny River Boulevard between South and Center Avenues, 5 to 9 pm. on Saturday
Why Go?: Please join the Verona community as for another wonderful parade with Oakmont and the Second Annual Verona Street Festival. Local businesses and vendors will have merchandise and food available. This is a night of family fun for the community. There will be many activities for kids. The theme of the event this year is "Frosty the Snowman." There will be artists and live entertainment on the main street. Read more about the event, .

Where?/When?:, 8:45 a.m. on Sunday
Why Go?: USBC Youth Sanctioned Scholarship Scratch Singles tour and Nesbits' Lanes INC. presents the Nesbits' Junior Classic. Registration is from 8:45 to 9:30 a.m. and practice starts at 9:50 a.m. Bowling starts at 10 a.m. This event is also a Toy Collection Event offering extra points. Twenty bonus points will be given to each bowler who brings a new toy to the event or 20 bonus points will be given to any $5 donation towards a toy purchase. Click here for rules and an entry form.

Where?/When?: , 3 to 5 p.m. on Sunday
Why Go?: The Mystery Lovers Bookshop invites you to a special holiday shopping experience. The staff will be on hand to help you find the perfect gift for everyone on your list. They will also wrap and ship the items! There also will be drinks and snacks for all to enjoy.
