Get Out: Weekend Planner

Here are five ideas for your weekend plans.

Got no idea what you'll do this weekend? Patch is coming to the rescue! We've got the best bets for your done-work-outta-here time. Check out our top picks for this weekend to find something for everyone in the family to enjoy.

It's a good idea to have cash ready for these events.

1.
Where?/When?: , 5:30 to 11 p.m. on Saturday
Why Go?: is offering a Parents Night Out this weekend. Parents can drop off their child/children to the PLEC building, located on Fourth Street, next to St. Irenaeus School. Parents are asked to provide dinner for children prior to dropping them off or preparing something for them to eat (no peanut butter, please). The school's eighth-graders will donate their time and expertise to provide an entertaining afternoon, filled with a movie, games, and crafts as part of a service project. Adult supervision also will be provided. Proceeds benefit the students and programs at Saint Irenaeus School.
Pricing: $15 per child.

Where/When: , 6 p.m. on Saturday
Why Go?: Join in Oakmont for a night of fun, food and races. Dinner will be served at 6:15 and the races begin at 7. Cost includes food and a beverage. There will be 10 races run with 10 horses in each race. Horses are $10 each, and winners receive $25. Anyone who can't attend still can buy horses and win. All proceeds benefit the students and programs at Saint Irenaeus School.

Where/When: Boyce Park Ski Slopes, noon on Sunday
Why Go?: Boyce Park will host the Mini-Junior Olympics this Sunday. The age categories are 5-6, 7-8, 9-10 and 11-12. Medals will be awarded to the winners of the skiing or snowboarding events. There will be separate runs for boys and girls. Proceeds will benefit the Boyce Park Ski Patrol.
Pricing: $5 per entrant

4. Adam Zebroski Memorial Race
Where/When? Boyce Park Ski Slopes, Sunday at 11 a.m.
Why Go? Boys and girls ages 13-15 and 16-18 can compete on skis, snowboards or both. There will be plaques for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners. The race is in memory of Adam Zebroski, a Monroeville teen who was struck by a drunk driver.
Pricing: $5

Where/When? , Sunday at 8 a.m.
Why Go? A Foundation Seminar for everyone will be offered from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. It will teach attendants about card training, how to use a heart rate monitor and how to apply that to a training plan. A Level 1 Certification: HZT, Heart Zones Training will be offered from 1:30 to 5:30 p.m. For information about the classes, .
