Why Go?: Riverview High School students will be enjoying the prom Friday night, but before an evening of friendship and dancing, they're going to show off their gowns and suits to the community.

Where?/When?:, 9 a.m. on Thursday-Saturday
Why Go?: Crimson Couture in Oakmont is celebrating their anniversary with a huge sale! There will also be giveaways and refreshments.

Where?/When?: , 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday
Why Go?: The Garden Club of Oakmont invites you to attend its annual plant sale. The sale features annuals, perennials, lettuce and herb bowls, hanging baskets and planters. The proceeds benefit Oakmont in Bloom.

Where?/When?: , 10 a.m. on Saturday
Why Go?: Cine Brunch is a light brunch from starting at 10 a.m. and a movie that begins at 11 a.m. This month's movie is Sabrina.
Pricing: $6 for film only, $12 for brunch and movie.

Why Go?: Oakmont author Kathleen Shoop will debut her new novel "After the Fog" at Oakmont Carnegie Library. Come and enjoy coffee and desserts, chances to win a Kindle and Nook, plus door prizes and giveaways. Books also will be available for purchase and signing.
